Assistant Coaching Roles Available

Peel Thunder Football Club are currently seeking applications for Coaching roles across our Men’s and Women’s program.

MEN’S PROGRAM – Skills Coach

RESERVES – Bench Coach

ROGERS – 1x Assistant Coach

Peel Thunder are in an exciting phase of their 30 year old journey, heading into 2026 with great alignment and professional standards across all programs.

MENS SKILLS COACH

Assist with the delivery of pre-training sessions

Work alongside the Senior coaches to deliver quality skill development activities

Help development of young squad and prepare for group training and individual training

Training role: typically 4:30pm to 5:30pm, then able to be part of the training coaching group

Suited for a coach eager to be involved in a WAFL system, also balancing other aspects out of football (flexible role)

No minimum amount of experience or qualifications required, high energy and understanding on executing drills required


RESERVES BENCH COACH

Assist the Head Coach in delivering a high-quality program, meeting the objectives and goals

Having a development focus for each player and for the program

Ability to implement a training session, guided by the Head Coach

Clear feedback to players at training and game day

Game day communication to the head coach, players and high performance staff

High impact game day role

Minimum Level 1 or equivalent AFL Coaching Accreditation (attained or working towards)


ROGERS ASSISTANT COACH

Assist the Head Coach in delivering a high-quality program, meeting the objectives and goals

Having a development focus for each player and for the program

Ability to implement a training session, guided by the Head Coach

Clear feedback to players at training and game-day

Ability to recognise players strengths and areas for improvement

Minimum Level 1 or equivalent AFL Coaching Accreditation (attained or working towards)

Understanding of football development philosophies and experience in female football

ALL 3 ROLES

Current Working with Children Check

From Mid November to August/September – Available for 3x training sessions per week for pre-season and 2x training sessions and game day for in-season. Training typically late afternoons mid-week and Saturday mornings.
