About Us:

The Peel Thunder Football Club is a not-for profit organization competing in the West Australian Football League. We operate out of Bendigo Bank Stadium in Mandurah. During the season League, Reserves and Colts sides play against other WAFL sides in the highest grade of football outside the AFL.

About You:

Peel Thunder Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic and confident Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2018 season. You will be required to attend training three times a week and game days on weekends.

You must have:

• Strength and Conditioning qualification
• Working with Children Check
• Good clinical reasoning skills
• Be knowledgeable in hands-on treatments and exercise rehabilitation
• Be patient, self-motivated and adaptable to the needs of each player
• Be great at understanding people and possess a confident and warm demeanour
• Be passionate about living and promoting a healthy active lifestyle
• Have experience in Pilates (desirable but not essential)
• Hold a current Australian Registration and have relevant insurance
• A sporting club background (desirable but not essential)

About the role:

The Strength and Conditioning Coach position involves

• Developing a pre-season program for players’ strength and fitness to compete in the 2018 WAFL season
• Developing individual S&C programs for players’ specific needs
• Creating rehabilitation programs for injured players
• Measuring and recording players’ strength and conditioning abilities to show improvement
• Guide players in strength and conditioning techniques
• Liaise with coaching staff on players’ and team programs
