Round 14 Senior Development match report
It was a disappointing result for the club against Subiaco on the weekend. We can take a few positives from the reserves game with some off the younger players getting valuable game time and playing against a well drilled team with a great work ethic.
We started Ollie Walton on seasoned League player Adam Cockie. We thought he handled the job well and got to see first hand what it looks like to play on a quality player.
Our first quarter was strong but we handed Subiaco 2 goals with direct turnovers which hurt. We worked hard to retain the ball but our execution was poor.
1 goal in each of the first 3 quarters had us chasing tail from the outset and we struggled to get any sort off momentum during that time.
At 3 quarter time we set out to win the last quarter and to the guys credit they worked hard and outscored Subiaco 2.4-1.3 which was good to see some fight after a tough day at Leederville.
We hope to get a few back from work commitments and suspension this week to tackle Perth at Lathlain Park.
Better players:
Haydn Matthews- 28 Possessions, 6 Tackles
Chris Wrigley - 18 Possessions, 7 Tackles
Michael Humble- 20 Possessions, 8 Tackles
Brynn Osborne - Ran hard all day and tackled strongley
Mitch Wallace- Returned form long term knee injury and played well.
