14's to put training to the test

Monday, September 28, 2020 - 7:35 PM

After a heavy three-week training program, the Peel Thunder 14s development squad will take on East Perth and Claremont in back to back ‘A’ and ‘B’ squad games in the first week of the school holidays. Peel Thunders 14s Development Squad will face East Perth at Leederville oval on Wednesday 30th September before taking on Claremont at home on Saturday 3rd October.

The fifty strong squad have spent the last three weeks honing their skills along with some match simulation and fitness testing ahead of the two fixtures to wrap up what has been a very positive development squad program that never looked likely to go ahead after the impact of COVID19.

‘We are so fortunate to be able to run this program this season but also to play a couple of games at the back end of the program as a great way of testing ourselves against two very strong WAFL clubs. The commitment of the young men and the energy of the coaching group has been a real highlight along with the competition for spots in the ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides’ Charlie Burke – Peel Thunder Talent Manager

The fixtures are as follows;

10am – East Perth A v Peel Thunder A

12noon – East Perth B v Peel Thunder B

Saturday 3rd October @ David Grays Arena
