Premiership players to make their first AFLW appearances
Three 2020 Peel Thunder WAFLW Premiership players have been included in the squad of 25 for this Saturday’s West Coast v Fremantle Practice Match to be held behind closed doors at Mineral Resources Park.
Demi Liddle will make her first appearance in the blue and gold after being picked up by West Coast in November as an injury replacement player for Ashton Hill who suffered an ACL injury. Demi will run out in her usual number 23.
Sarah Verrier taken with the 14th overall pick in the recent 2020 National Draft will be eager to impress as she lines up for her first game for the Dockers in the number 5 jumper.
Jade Briggs who has been a train-on player with Fremantle for the last few months is part of the squad of 25 but isn’t named in the final 22 for this game.
Former Peel products and mainstays of the Fremantle lineup Sabreena Duffy and Katie-Jayne Grieve will also take part.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 protocols the game will be held behind closed doors, but be sure to try and catch a glimpse of some of our girls on both the West Coast Eagles AFLW and Fremantle AFLW social media accounts.
