Cassie Davidson takes out the 2021 Fenton Medal
It was a sensational end to the 2021 WAFLW Season, finishing with our Fenton Medal on Friday 23 July, where Cassie Davidson took home the top award, the 2021 Fenton Medal. In our Rogers Cup it was Jorja Haines who won the Barnden Medal and Ariana Hetherington in the Reserves.

The Fenton Medal
Mark and Ann Fenton have been involved in the Peel Thunderbirds Football Club since 2013. Mark coached the inaugural youth girl’s competition to a grand final and in later years coached the senior team for three-years having consecutive finals campaigns. Ann has been involved through management, administration and board level of the Peel Thunderbirds having acquired sponsors and members for many years and aiding the amalgamation of the Peel Thunderbirds and Peel Thunder. Both Mark and Ann have great passion in the development of female football in the Peel region and have served many years supporting and managing young women aspiring to become great footballers.

The Barnden Medal
The Peel Thunder Football Club is delighted to name the Rogers Cup fairest and best the Paula Barnden Medal. Football has always been a large part of Paula’s life. She has been involved over 27 years through various roles such as volunteering, club administration, as a wife and now a parent.
