Steve Markham signs on for a further two-years

To cap off an incredible season from our WAFLW Program, which included a Grand Final win for the League and Reserves sides, two-time Premiership coach Steve Markham has signed on for a further two-years with the Peel Thunder Football Club.

Steve said that he feels honoured to continue working with the club and leading the girls who all work hard on and off the field to achieve success.

“We’ve got a great group of girls, supported by a strong program and great club. I feel honoured the club has given me the privilege to lead the girls for another two-years.

It’s such an amazing club and we are fortunate to have a strong group of players and staff who work extremely hard to get the best outcome for everyone.

I’m excited to continue to develop and improve the program further and make it the best it can be. Bring on Season 2022 and beyond.”

Steve has been the WAFLW Senior Coach since 2020, winning two League Premierships. On behalf of the board, staff and members; congratulations on re-signing with Peel Thunder and we look forward to continuing to grow this partnership.
