Plenty of Wemmy for 2025
Local product from South Mandurah and popular member of the Peel Thunder community, Brody Wemm has re-committed to for Season 2025!
Brody enjoyed a break-out year in 2023 and worked through an injury interrupted 2024, which is fuelling him for 2025 with unfinished business. Electric speed, natural goal sense and the ability to change a game, Brody was a key re-signing for the Club.
Peel Thunder’s GM Football Operations, Sam Skinner, spoke on behalf of the Club. “Brody is a quality family person who brings people together. From an on-field perspective, he has a high ceiling with his football ability, we definitely believe he has unfinished business at WAFL level. Turning 27 next year and a very strong footballing CV with South Mandurah already under his belt, Brody at his best can be one of the WAFL’s most dangerous forwards”
Upon re-signing, Brody spoke about what the Club means to him, why he re-signed and his goals into 2025.
What Peel Thunder means to Brody
“Peel Thunder has been an important part of my football journey. From the moment I joined, i made such good relationships with not only the lads but the staff and volunteers. The club has helped me grow as a player, pushing me to develop new skills, and has provided me with invaluable experiences on and off the field. More than just a football team, Peel Thunder has felt like home, and I will always be grateful for the support, opportunities, and memories it has given me so far.”
Why Brody re-signed
“I’ve re-signed with Peel Thunder because I believe in the direction the club is heading and the culture we’ve built there. The coaching staff, my teammates, and the overall environment have pushed me to become a better player and person, and I’m excited to continue contributing to the team’s success. I’m especially looking forward to the upcoming season, with the opportunity to build on the progress we’ve made. The challenge of competing at a higher level and striving for more as a team is something that really motivates me. I’m excited about the potential of what we can achieve together, and I’m eager to continue representing the club and growing with the team. My family is also a key factor into why I’ve re-signed to stay closer to home, and making them proud is big for me too.”
Brody’s goals for 2025
“Moving forward, my primary goal is to continue developing as a player, refining my skills, and pushing my limits both on and off the field. In the longer term, I want to help Peel Thunder achieve success, whether that’s through individual performances or contributing to our collective goals. Additionally, I’m always looking to learn and grow as a person, taking on more responsibility within the team, or continuing my own personal development outside of football. I’m excited about the challenges ahead and staying focused on making meaningful progress, both as an athlete and as an individual.”
