Bennell, Back

We're thrilled to share, Traye Bennell returns to Lane Group Stadium for 2025! 

After a year in Victoria, Traye is ready to return and add to his 104 WAFL games at Peel Thunder. Traye is a leader within the Club and someone who adds vital experience to our young squad. 

Traye spoke about the Club and why he has returned. "I have returned to the Club so I can play 150 games and get my life membership at such a great club that means a lot to me. This Club has looked after me in times and it is a family to me and always will be. I'm excited about the growth we have at the Club and the young talent and to be back around the great culture."

Speaking about his goals for 2025, Traye said "To be a good leader and help the young players coming through the ranks to make them comfortable and become the best players they can."

Peel Thunder GM Football Operations spoke about Traye's return. "Traye's return is very exciting for our players. He brings back vital leadership to our Senior Program with plenty of youth and talent in the ranks. Traye adds versatility, experience and at 29 years of age, still has plenty of WAFL football ahead."
