2015 PEEL THUNDER FOOTBALL CLUB – SENIOR’S COACH
Peel Thunder Football Club President Mr John Ditchburn today announced that Mr Cam Shepherd will continue as the Club’s Senior’s Coach of its League team for season 2015.
Mr Ditchburn stated that the Peel Thunder Football Club Board of Directors unanimously endorsed Mr Shepherd’s renewal for 2015. The Fremantle Dockers also endorsed his appointment for the following season.
Cam Shepherd has a strong football pedigree – as a coach and former player and he and his coaching staff have made significant advancement with the Peel Football Club in 2014. “The Board and I are very confident that Cam and his assistants will continue the improvements shown with the team in 2014 and see the Club further grow in stature in the WAFL competition in 2015”, Ditchburn said.
A significant factor in Cam Shepherd’s reappointment is due to key relationships he has created and managed within both the Fremantle Dockers and Peel Thunder organisations and his ability to gel the playing group as one. Peel Thunder CEO Bill Kostandas stated the following, “the hard work that Cam and his assistants put in throughout the week and on game day shows that we as a Club are heading in the right direction. Cam’s stature as a Senior Coach has grown significantly and it made perfect sense from our Club’s perspective that the cohesiveness, synergies and the development of the playing group should further enhance in 2015 under Cam’s guidance”.
“I am honoured that the Peel Thunder Football Club and the Fremantle Dockers Football Club as a collective have endorsed me as Senior Coach of Peel Thunder for 2015. I am fully committed to helping the Peel Thunder Football Club achieve some significant goals and just as importantly further develop the playing group and to continue the good team environment and structures that so many have worked hard for. The players have been tremendous and their determination and work ethic augers well for 2015. In saying that 2014 is not over yet and we are all focused on finishing this season off well” Shepherd said.
