Locked in Teal: Peel Thunder Players Recommit for the Future

Peel Thunder has officially locked the deal, with more than 90% of both the WAFL and WAFLW squads re-committing for 2026 and beyond, the club’s connection has never been stronger, and the vision for the seasons ahead is crystal clear. The Thunder’s culture of unity, growth, and belief continues to thrive, with even more player signings and re-signings still to come.

Peel Thunder CEO Paul Lekias shared his thoughts on the milestone, saying:

“It’s fantastic acknowledgement of the work we are doing behind the scenes to provide our players with the best possible chance at success in the WAFL and WAFLW competitions. To have strong retention allows us to continue to develop our group to contend with the very best sides each week.
We are proud of what we are building here at Peel Thunder, and the commitment of these players highlights they are all-in, in support of this approach, and we are excited to see what they can all achieve together in 2026.”

This strong level of retention reflects the belief within the playing group and the confidence in the direction the club is heading.
