News Just-In!

Peel Thunder Football Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Justin Beach as the new Head Coach of our WAFLW program.

Justin joins the Thunder from Victoria, bringing with him a wealth of coaching experience. Most recently, he worked with Williamstown’s VFLW program as their Head of Development and Senior Assistant Coach. His background also includes coaching and Strength & Conditioning roles across the VAFA, SEWFL, and MPNFL, showcasing his strong commitment to player development and performance.

WAFLW Coordinator Rachael Hayes welcomed Justin’s appointment, noting the excitement it has already generated among the playing group.

“Justin’s appointment has created great excitement amongst the playing group, especially after his presentation to the WAFLW leadership group around his vision for 2026. Justin’s attention to detail, strong understanding of the modern game, ability to drive high standards and build a strong culture made him a stand-out applicant.

This is a key appointment to our Women’s program, and we’re now excited to start sharing news of key signings and re-signings for 2026.”

Justin is equally enthusiastic about his new role and the opportunity to lead Peel Thunder’s WAFLW program.

“I’m excited for the new role and making the big move across from Victoria, getting away from the cold Melbourne winter. I can’t wait to get settled, meet all the players face to face and start to really build on the strong foundations the club and the women’s program have built. Pumped to see what this group can create moving forward as we hopefully take Peel back to that top spot in the WAFLW.”

The club is delighted to welcome Justin and his partner Danielle to the Thunder family as they relocate ahead of pre-season kicking off in November.

Please join us in congratulating Justin Beach on his appointment as our new WAFLW Head Coach. ⚡️
