Peel Thunder Football Club

A bunch of Peel Thunder footballs were put to good use at the "Seeds of Hope" orphanage in Bali, Indonesia. Click to see all the photos.

This orphanage is one of many in Bali. At the moment there are 66 children, boys and girls, ranging from 6 months to 18 years. The school aged attend local community schools. There is an elderly Balinese couple that supervise helped by a few volunteers – it is a non-government centre, surviving solely on donations. A very musical group who make their own instruments and according to daughter Sarah, have a great energetic band.

I know it is well clichéd that 'a week is a long time in football'... 'and you are only as good as your last game'... and after the weekend against East Fremantle we got a huge reality check and were taught a lesson in intensity, ball movement and skill execution.

It was an extremely disappointing performance, and although we have had many heavy losses this season, this was particularly difficult to comprehend given the 'buoyancy' amongst the players after the good win against Perth the week before.
