This weekend is the WAFLW Indigenous Round plus the start of the 2022 National Reconciliation Week.
What is Reconciliation? Reconciliation to me is about strengthening relationships between my people and non-Indigenous peoples. We do this by sharing our knowledge and culture. This weekend’s WAFLW action has significance on two fronts as players celebrate Indigenous Round at the start of National Reconciliation Week.
With the support of Rio Tinto, WA Football’s Indigenous Program Partner, all WAFLW League and Rogers Cup teams will wear Indigenous jumpers throughout the round.

THERE were plenty of standout performers once again in Round 5 of the WAFL to earn spots in the Team of the Week during wins for Subiaco, South Fremantle, Claremont, West Perth and East Fremantle.

WEST Perth returned to top spot with a big Round 5 WAFL victory on Saturday while East Fremantle kept winning, South Fremantle and Claremont bounced back, and Subiaco snatched a thriller over Swan Districts in Kalgoorlie.
Following last week's WAFL State game against South Australia at Optus Stadium, the season resumed with all five Round 5 matches taking place on Saturday afternoon.

EAST Fremantle remained undefeated while Peel Thunder consolidated their finals position and Subiaco kept its hopes alive in Round 13 of the WAFLW competition across the weekend.
