Why do you play football?
That is the central question behind an on-line youth survey that has been launched by the West Australian Football Commission.

Log onto http://www.perceptionmapping.com/wafcyouthmap where children aged up to 17 who play football can anonymously answer questions that will enable WA Football’s governing body to directly find out what motivates, irks and excites its youth-aged participants.

West Coast Eagles Visit Hillman Primary

E-mail Print
eagles_group_photo.jpgHillman Primary School along with a handful of other primary schools, were lucky enough to have players from the West Coast Eagles Football Club visit and educate them on the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle.

Scott Selwood and Jamie McNamara spoke to the lucky year 3's and 4's about the importance a healthy diet and regular excericise plays not only in sustained good health, but in being an elite athlete.

The kids were later put through their paces with a Peel Thunder Football Clinic lead by Peel's Junior Development Officer Chris Moody. Jamie McNamara played an exciting game of handball scarecrow while Scott Selwood taught the kids how to kick goals like an AFL superstar.

At the end of the session, the Eagles representatives were swamped by the young footballers with pens and autograph books as they signed autographs.

All involved thouroughly enjoyed themselves and will remember the clinic as the day they got to kick with their AFL heroes!
