The West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) is pleased to announce Leederville Oval in partnership with the City of Vincent, has been selected to host the 2022 WAFL Grand Final on Saturday, October 1.
Leederville Oval was chosen against a selection criterion that included fan experience, game day atmosphere, the capacity of spectatorship, accessibility, and ground conditions.

FOUR matches in Round 15 of the 2022 WAFL season saw no shortage of excitement and drama, and once more the sports in the Team of the Week were hotly sought after across the board.

IT was quite the dramatic and defining Saturday afternoon of WAFL action for Round 15 of the 2022 season with Claremont and Peel Thunder rising up the ladder, East Fremantle bouncing back emphatically and then South Fremantle and West Perth unable to be separated.

Some of WA’s most exciting football talent have reflected fondly on their NAB U18 AFL National Championship campaign.
Leading local players Darcy Jones, Sam Gilbey and Elijah Hewett have been identified as potential AFL Draftees later this year, and all three were all strong contributors for the Black Swans in a tough campaign.

The West Australian Football Commission has made the decision to move the East Perth versus Peel Thunder game from Leederville Oval to New Choice Homes Park in East Fremantle this weekend.
The decision has been made based on the current condition of the playing surface and with increasing rain forecasted for the weekend, it was deemed unsuitable for play.
