Round 14 Senior Development match report

Monday, July 9, 2018 - 3:29 PM

It was a disappointing result for the club against Subiaco on the weekend.   We can take a few positives from the reserves game with some off the younger players getting valuable game time and playing against a well drilled team with a great work ethic.

We started Ollie Walton on seasoned League player Adam Cockie.   We thought he handled the job well and got to see first hand what it looks like to play on a quality Read More [+]

There are going to be many games in the coming months that will shape the top 5. This was one of them. Both sides were desperate to remain in the hunt for September action.

It was really pleasing that the Peel boys worked hard enough for long enough to defeat the Swannies whom just wouldn’t lie down.

Move to Peel keeps paying off as Ugle reaches 100

Friday, June 29, 2018 - 11:42 AM - by Chris Pike

HIS move to Mandurah has proved the best decision of his life with Gerald Ugle becoming a dual premiership captain with Peel Thunder and now the only thing that would take he and his young family away would be a second AFL chance as he approaches game 100 in the WAFL.

Being able to settle living in Mandurah with his wife, son and daughter now since making the move from Perth at the end of 2014 has proven quite the successful decision to make for Ugle both on and off the field.

The result is that he has not missed a game since joining Peel for the 2015 season. He has played 79 of a possible 79 matches at the Thunder and that has included the only nine finals that the club has ever participated in.
