PEEL’S finals hopes have been dented with a 55-point loss to reigning premiers Subiaco at Medibank Stadium on Saturday.

In wet and greasy conditions, the Thunder were well short of their best against a strong and classy Lions outfit, who triumphed 15.9 (99) to 6.8 (44).

It is the Thunder’s second heavy loss to the reigning premiers this season, and the pressure applied by the Lions was elite.

The Senior Development side lined up against Perth after coming off a bye weekend. Before the game the players seemed up and about and the Coaching staff were hopeful of a good showing. Rampant Thunder cruise past Demons

Peel Thunder claimed its seventh win of the season on Saturday, marching to 62 point win over the Perth Demons at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

A seven goal third term paved the way for Peel, who now sit third on the McDonalds WAFL Premiership ladder after 14 rounds.
Zac Clarke (21 disposals, 36 hit outs, 1 goal) performed strongly, while Tendai Muzungu (26 disposals, 6 tackles) and Matt Taberner (7 marks, 4 goals) also played starring roles.

BENDIGO Bank Stadium has hosted its second quality WAFL match in a fortnight, with Peel prevailing over East Perth by 22 points in a fiery encounter.

The Thunder, rebounding after last week’s heart-breaking four-point loss to West Perth, came back from a 22-point deficit at quarter time to record a 17.12 (114) to 13.14 (92) win.

THE 2015 WAFL season is one of the closest in memory, which makes Peel’s clash with second-placed West Perth tomorrow at Bendigo Bank Stadium almost season-defining.
