The Peel Thunder Football Club is bitterly disappointed to learn of today’s ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport to suspend 34 past and present Essendon players, including Thunder Vice-Captain Leroy Jetta, for 12 months.

Jetta played 93 games for the Bombers from 2007-2014, before joining Peel Thunder last season where he played 21 games and kicked 39 goals.

Peel prize donated back to charity

IN ANOTHER example of the Peel community’s generosity, the lucky winner of Peel Thunder’s Annual Club Raffle has donated the 2015 Holden first prize back to the community, with disability provider Diversity South the beneficiary.

The raffle, which was drawn on October 2, raised $13,050 for the football club.

Thunder welcome back Walsh

FORMER Carlton rookie Brad Walsh has returned to Peel Thunder.

The Rockingham product was delisted by the Blues despite breaking through for three games off the rookie list last season.

Walsh made his debut against Fremantle in front of his family and friends in Round 16, and started all three games in the green vest.

New Crop Commence 2016 Campaign

The Peel Thunder Football Club commenced its 2016 Colts program, holding an induction and testing day on Sunday 22 November. Over 70 young players from the local and south-west area were in attendance and keen to impress their chances to represent the club in 2016. Thunder pre-season underway

PEEL’S campaign for 2016 is underway, with the Thunder’s senior squad commencing pre-season training this week.

The squad will train three nights a week before a break for Christmas.

Fremantle to light up Mandurah in 2016

FREMANTLE will launch its 2016 campaign with a NAB Challenge match against Richmond at Bendigo Bank Stadium on Friday, February 19.

It will be the second year in a row that Bendigo Bank Stadium has hosted a NAB Challenge fixture, following West Coast’s 31-point triumph over Carlton earlier this year in front of approximately 10,000.
