Peel Thunder took on East Perth at Bendigo Bank Stadium over the weekend, but it wasn’t a repeat of the 17 -point victory they had in Round One.

Leroy Jetta was one of the few shining lights for the Thunder, kicking four of the five goals.

Cameron Sutcliffe had an impressive 37 disposals, with Traye Bennell and Sam Collins having 26 possessions each.

Peel Thunder had its first loss over the weekend, going down by 43 points to South Fremantle at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

The Thunder started strong with the team young gun, Calvin Thorne, kicking the first goal in the first 10 minutes of the match.

Peel Thunder continued their Premiership form with their second win of the season against East Fremantle at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

The Thunder held a convincing lead at every break ending the game in an 86-point victory.

Fremantle recruit Harley Balic was a standout for the side with 33 possessions while fellow teammate Matt Taberner proved vital, kicking 5 goals.

Peel Thunder kicked off this season with a win last night against East Perth at the Medibank Stadium in Leederville

East Perth’s back pocket player Mitchell Fraser had to be escorted off the field with what looked to be a knee injury in the first quarter.

A fantastic performance from Leroy Jetta who kicked four of the seven goals for peel in the game and had 16 disposals under his belt by the final siren.

After trials last week in some extremely challenging conditions, we have picked our first intake for our Year 9 group. We have selected 33 players in our initial squad, and will add another 27 players over the course of the season. After 2 days of trials, we have selected our Year 8 initial intake squad. We were blown away by the quality of the players who attended the trials, the attitudes of all players and the enthusiasm everyone showed was first class and left us with some difficult decisions.
