Peel Thunder ended their losing streak with a 23 point win over Claremont at the Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday.

Peel’s fight back not good enough

Peel Thunder took on East Perth at Bendigo Bank Stadium over the weekend, but it wasn’t a repeat of the 17 -point victory they had in Round One.

Leroy Jetta was one of the few shining lights for the Thunder, kicking four of the five goals.

Cameron Sutcliffe had an impressive 37 disposals, with Traye Bennell and Sam Collins having 26 possessions each.

Peel Thunder had its first loss over the weekend, going down by 43 points to South Fremantle at Bendigo Bank Stadium.

The Thunder started strong with the team young gun, Calvin Thorne, kicking the first goal in the first 10 minutes of the match.

The Thunder held a convincing lead at every break ending the game in an 86-point victory.

East Perth’s back pocket player Mitchell Fraser had to be escorted off the field with what looked to be a knee injury in the first quarter.

A fantastic performance from Leroy Jetta who kicked four of the seven goals for peel in the game and had 16 disposals under his belt by the final siren.
