PEEL’S 2015 campaign has officially kicked off with another successful season launch at Bendigo Bank Stadium on Saturday night.
The evening featured the popular Player Auction, where tables bid on groups of players to win money throughout the season.
The auction raised $20,000, which is a fantastic effort, while the Corporate Classic first prize was a lucrative package worth approximately $20,000 won by Mandurah Mail.

Tough loss sours 2015 preparations
PEEL’S final preparations for 2015 have taken a blow, s
uffering a 115-point thrashing at the hands of Claremont in the final scratch match of the season at Bendigo Bank Stadium.
The Thunder was no match for the strong Claremont outfit, who stamped their authority early with eight goals in the first term while keeping the hosts goalless.

Season 2015 is underway with the pre-season fixture against Swan Districts at Bassendean Oval our first hit out and finally the opportunity for our coaches, support staff and players to compete against another club. It has been a long pre-season campaign and now we can gauge how that has tracked.

ALTHOUGH Peel’s opening encounter of 2015 ended in defeat, Peel coach Cam Shepherd is upbeat with the young talent in the Thunder side.

THE Peel Football Club has unveiled the next wave of talent, with the Under 16s squad being named last week.
It comes ahead of a huge season for the Under 16s, who will travel to Melbourne in July to tour the facilities of three AFL clubs, play against a TAC Cup Under 16s side, and watch three AFL matches.

PEEL Thunder’s Colts side has appointed tough midfielder Sam Shackles as captain for the 2015 season following a training camp earlier this month.
Shackles was named as part of a six-man leadership group including Jordan Adams, Mitch Curnow and Luke Shepherd as vice-captains, while youngsters Michael Humble and Jack Tomerini will be deputy vice-captains.

FORMER Greater Western Sydney Giants and Perth forward Gerald Ugle is the latest key signing for the Peel Thunder, rounding out a list that is young but packed with talent.
